EHR Dashboard Redesign

UI/UX CASE STUDY

Project Overview:

EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems are critical tools used by healthcare professionals to manage patient information efficiently. However, many legacy EHR interfaces are cluttered, unintuitive, and not optimized for modern use.

In this mini redesign project, I focused on modernizing two of the most essential screens:
  • Patient Demographics
  • Patient Billing & Charges
The goal was to improve usability, minimize cognitive load, and enhance clarity for healthcare staff, especially in high-pressure environments.

Problems & Solutions:

Problems:

The previous EHR design was cluttered with dense layouts, inconsistent spacing, and hard-to-read fonts. Key information lacked visual hierarchy, making it difficult to scan quickly. Buttons were unclear and low in contrast, reducing overall usability.

Solution:

The redesign focused on a clean, professional interface with improved readability and clear visual hierarchy. Patient data is easier to scan, and billing is streamlined with intuitive layouts, minimal icons, and structured spacing for better usability.
